Already established as an internationally acclaimed designer, Faldo unveiled his talents at his first U.S. design at Marriott's Shadow Ridge Resort in Palm Desert, California. Set against the Santa Rosa Mountains, Faldo's vast international experience and passion for strategic design are in clear evidence at Marriott's Shadow Ridge.

According to Faldo, his first U.S. design draws inspiration from the great sand-belt courses of Australia, notably, Kingston Heath and Royal Melbourne.

"Our fairways are typically generous, but our bunkering style is impressively bold. The greens have plenty of subtle undulations and they reward and encourage a variety of approach shots. Miss the green here and your ball will invariably roll into a tightly-mown collection area or a greenside bunker."

You may need some help, so each cart is equipped with a ProLink yardage system. This state of the art technology provides the golfer with accurate yardage to the hole-location, the ability to place lunch orders prior to making the turn, and real time leader-board scoring for group outings.
