This course has narrow fairways and large, sloping greens which have moderate undulation. Creeks come into play on six holes. It is a relatively flat course with mounding in the rough. The most difficult hole is #7, a 402-yard, par 4, requiring a tee shot that must be placed to the left of the fairway in order to lay-up over the creek. Chicago Ridge Prairie is a part of this community, which preserves native prairie grasses, and a wolf preserve is also located nearby.
